I always like to feel special and boutique accommodations have a way of providing that. A unique, personalised feel attached with luxuries, such is the boon of these hotels. There’s a character, a theme that gives you the feel of being closer to home. Boutique hotels usually have vintage furniture and uniqueness in every room along with the set range of luxuries.
They might not be as easily found on the map as chain hotels, but they are definitely worth the research. In an adventurous trip last year, I found a luxury accommodation in the South Island so unique that it still makes me nostalgic. Although the hotel had only 50 rooms, each room was well lit and beautifully furnished. The rooms had an aesthetical feel to it and the hotel was surrounded by a pleasing garden and a warm pool.
